BIRD FLU: TOMORROW AT P.CHIGI MINISTER'S AND AGR. MIN MEETING
(AGI) - Rome, 16 Feb - Tomorrow at the end of the Minister's Council meeting, another one will be convened which will bring to the table all the agricultural production members, in the presence of Health Ministers, Political Agricultural Ministers and Welfare and Economy Ministers, in order to evaluate the situation, and individualize the urgent measures needed to deal with the virus crisis.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Agricultural Politics, Giovanni Alemanno, reminding everyone that Monday, he will participate together with Minister Storace at the Council for Agricultural Ministers of the European Union, asking yet again for the commission to unlock the provisions adopted in recent months by Italy which were subject to its examination.

"Let's examine the fact", concluded the Minister, that we are before an exceptional event, that justifies in my opinion, the emergency provisions that we adopt, which are compatible with the community order. We are strongly involved at a national and community level, to sustain the division dealing with disease which has been tried by the emergency which has been determined these days." (AGI) .

Brussels. The EU Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection Markus Kyprianou will suggest a new measure to be introduced in the EU states, Europa Press reports. At a press conference Markus Kyprianou announced that the aim of that measure was to increase the level of self-awareness in connection with the illness.
