  • new rooms for multi-strain threads

Since the flubie world is talking about all strains of influenza, both generally and in detailed genetic terms,
Florida1 was kind enough to add 2 new rooms for those "hard to place" threads:

Under: Genetic Tracking of Disease - Commentaries & Analysis

    (the last 2 rooms...)

    Genetic analysis of multiple strains

    General Comparison of multiple strains

You are kind enough to participate. Thanks to everyone who helps here!

Also, Sally made the rooms, I had to leave.

      what's multi-strain ?

      I interpret it as reassortment

Re: new rooms for multi-strain threads

These rooms are for articles that do not primarily discuss one strain.

I've been working on "filing" a 30-page backlog of 2009 H1N1 articles, and there have been many threads that cannot be identified as being primarily about only one strain - whether it be a general discussion/comparison or an article with detailed genetic comparisons.

This new strain has sparked many articles about all the strains, with either general information or detailed genetic information.

"Multiple strains" means more than one strain - whether the article discusses reassortment, waves, symptoms, statistics, testing, geographic locations, or dates, etc.
