Following another report of a human swine flu outbreak in a kindergarten, the Centre for Health Protection urges members of the public and school management to take preventive measures against the disease by observing strict environmental and personal hygiene.
Nine boys and 12 girls, aged from three to six, at Sheung Shui Wai Chow Kindergarten (Branch) in Sheung Shui have developed fever, cough and sore throat since August 11. Three of them were confirmed to have been infected with human swine flu.
The school has suspended its whole summer classes starting today for disinfection, and all the affected children sought medical treatment. They are in stable condition and none were hospitalised.
Centre staff have visited the kindergarten and provided health advice.
