Health Department Still Recommends H1N1 Vaccine

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - While the number of H1N1 cases has slowed, health department officials say you should still get the vaccine.

Allen County's Health Commissioner says history shows we should expect a third wave of the virus, right as we start the traditional flu season.
And Doctor Deborah McMahan says the vaccines are now available to anyone who wants one.
Dr. McMahan says, ?It's kind of like trying to sell Christmas trees on the 26th, because people think it's all over, but it's not. We need to anticipate a 3rd wave and we don't know what else will be circulating at that same time, one less thing to worry about, so make sure you get your vaccine.?
She also says the area has seen the Norovirus.
The stomach ailment virus spreads quickly and causes diarrhea and vomiting.
She recommends staying home if you have symptoms and keeping hydrated.
