Agriculture Ministry to disinfect bird-flu high-risk areas
The Agriculture Ministry starting Monday will disinfect all parts of the country considered at high risk of a recurrence of bird flu.
High-risk areas are defined as those with reported poultry deaths during previous outbreaks and frequented by migratory birds, according to minister Thira Sutabutra.
Provincial livestock authorities have been notified the mass disinfecting will be completed by Sunday, he said. This is the minฌistry's latest precautionary measure against the epidemic.
