August 14 2009, 04:07 pm ET
SAN JUAN (AP) - The number of deaths from the swine flu rose to 19 Friday, seven more than those reported until Monday.
Acting Secretary of Health, Ricardo Moscoso, said that 20 other deaths are kept as "intractable" and 19 are still under suspicion that they were caused by swine influenza virus.
"A death-related (influenza) is unsolvable A H1N1 means that the sample never arrived at the Department of Health, for which the Department can not identify whether the death was related to the virus or not," he said in a statement.
According to Moscoso, the number of confirmed cases of swine flu amounts to 258, while the number of infections is likely 2045.
