New Swine Flu Death in State

Connecticut has recorded its first H1N1 swine flu death in three weeks. The Department of Public Health website indicates the death was reported in New Haven County. The age of the patient was listed as unknown. It brings the total number of swine flu-related deaths in the state to 21.

In the second wave of the pandemic, since August 30, there have now been 3,346 lab-confirmed cases in the state -- forty new cases in the last week.
