Macao reports collective flu outbreak at local creche

MACAO, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The Health Bureau of Macao Monday said that it has recorded five cases of flu infections at a local creche.
The five patients were children, aged between four and five, at the same class of the creche, and they have developed flu symptoms such as fever and coughing, according to the Bureau. All the young patients have received medical treatments and none of them needed to be admitted into the hospital.
The Bureau also said that they have collected medical samples of the patients for further tests and has ordered the creche in question to implement strict sterilization and flu prevention measures.
The previous such collective outbreak at a local professional school, 15 cases reported, has been confirmed to be not caused by the A/H1N1 virus, according to the Bureau.
