Re: surveillance 2010/11
Denmark, ILI stable, but positive samples up a lot :
historically I'd expect it to go much higher:
England, ILI going down :
historical: (rarely double-peaks)
Ireland ILI still going up:
Northern Ireland, ILI going up, but positive samples down (?)
Scotland up:
Wales unclear:
Spain , ILI up, positives stable?
Belgium loos close to the peak

Re: surveillance 2010/11
Googe flutrends showing flu going up strongly in:
Norway
Belgium
France
Netherlands
Spain
UK, Ireland and Danmark and Portugal don't participate, however other sources indicate high flu levels in these countries currently.
The flu seems to roll from West to East through Europe.?Addressing chronic disease is an issue of human rights ? that must be our call to arms"

Re: surveillance 2010/11
it also comes from East, via Russia.
But the question is : do we already have the peak in England
(and Denmark..) and thus a good estimate what expects us
in the rest of Europe or will it still go higher ?

week 2:
Germany,France,Austria only give ARI (acute respiratory ifection)

ARI includes colds and RSV (respiratory syncythial virus) and asthma etc.
apparantly it goes West --> East this season, Western Europe gets it first,
Middle+Eastern Europe ~3-5 weeks laterI'm interested in expert panflu damage estimates
