CSU student death possibly caused by flu

Matthew Wayne Kitzman, 25, a student at Colorado State University, died Monday afternoon at home.

The illness was likely influenza A, but testing is under way to find whether it was H1N1, known as swine flu, said deputy coroner Greg Fairman with Larimer County Coroner's Office.

CSU student Eric Spry appears to have died Friday from natural causes.

Larimer County Deputy Corner James MacNaughton said Sunday that the cause and manner of Spry?s death are not yet known pending further tests, but pneumonia is suspected. MacNaughton said there is no indication meningitis or meningococcal disease contributed to the death.
