  • Historical Archive - Tracking H5N1

Editor's Note: This thread is devoted to tracking links of early (2003+) internet discussions and blogs about H5N1 human and animal infections. Please post any additional links with a description and time frame.

It seems that China has not updated the maps or individual case information since 2009. February 5, 2011.

Link to current China maps for influenza outbreaks. The interactive map also contains limited demographic and geographic information about provinces and cities.

This French blog entitled, Influenza H5N1, was initiated on August 12, 2005 and ended on June 2, 2009. Initially the blog tracked human and avian H5N1 infections. Just before it ended it switched to tracking pH1N1 infections in 2009.

Declan Butler compiled location information for human H5N1 cases through September 2006 and prepared a .kml file for use with Google Earth.
