The rows of dozens of people covered by the ISSSTE waiting for drugs continues in the Hospital Fernando Ocaranza, because even though they got the vouchers that will make them valid purchase from other institutions, waiting times are very long and no one gets what they came for.
Isabel Vidal, 71, says that in December was unable to continue his treatment for diabetes and this time do not know if she will, because after waiting in line for nearly two hours, a man told them they were not sure reach vouchers. Minutes before 11 am, employees of the pharmacy reported that they were only 80 tickets.

    Complicated situation

The atmosphere was tense, people were demanding applicants tones and sometimes lofty words for their medicines. The discomfort grew when to leave the pharmacy, after hours spent in line, only had half of their drugs and one or two vouchers to redeem at another location.

What could have led to this shortage of medicines, said the hospital director, Dr. Heriberto Fuentes Garc?a, are natural disasters that have occurred in the country and this generated the need which dealt more drugs.

He added that possibly this month, has solved the problem started from the second week of December. And new tickets are being managed for the unit, if not achieved, other options will be.

Among the possible solutions they have is that pharmacies that provide drugs for beneficiaries with vouchers, provide these same drugs, but to the institutional pharmacy delegation to avoid bureaucracy and the time it involves elaborate and moving users.

Among the options are also other institutions, as has already happened, have supported the ISSSTE with medications or solutions required.
