    (HNM) - Days 8-4, Department of Preventive Medicine, Ministry of Health said that from the beginning of the year the country recorded 425 cases have tested positive for H1N1, including 11 death cases mortality. Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Central, 43% of patients dying from H1N1 is a pregnant woman in 3 months and 3 months between the end of pregnancy.

    In addition, H5N1 avian influenza in humans are some ominous signs. Current source for the H5N1 flu has been identified as from poultry, so the Department of Preventive Medicine do not recommend people to slaughter, transport and use in poultry of unknown origin.


    * According to the Veterinary Department (MARD), avian influenza have tended to spread quickly in many localities. Most recently has added two provinces of Dak Lak and Ha Nam outbreak, bringing the number of local outbreaks were 7 provinces (including Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Nam Dinh, Hai Phong, Tien Giang, Dak Lak and Ha Nam). In Dak Lak, an epidemic has occurred in rural households in seven communes Kty Cu (Krong Bong.) In Henan, the third outbreak of rural households Yen, Chan Ly commune (Ly Nhan district) to 400 chickens, geese, ducks infected.

    A/H1N1influenza on the rise
    According to the Vietnam Administration of Preventive Medicine, there have been 425 cases of positive A/H1N1influenza virus, resulting in 11 deaths since the beginning of the year.

    The Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases alone has received 235 cases of A/H1N1.

    Up to 43 percent of deaths were of pregnant women. Besides a majority of the people infected were found to be working people who communicated the disease to other family members.

    The administration has also reported 9,400 people with dengue fever since the beginning of the year. These cases were reported in 40 provinces and cities, with seven resulting in death.

    Compared to the same period last year, the number of people infected with dengue fever has soared by 4.4 percent with four reported deaths.
