? No influenza-associated hospitalizations have been confirmed since the official beginning of
the 2011-12 influenza season. The confirmed case of Influenza A (H3) previously mentioned
in a Mesa County press release was travel-related and will not be included in our 2011/12 case
counts due to the diagnosis date being prior to the official surveillance period.
? Influenza-Like Illness reported by Kaiser Permanente for the Denver-Boulder metropolitan area
remained similar to summer ?baseline? levels at less than 1.0%. Influenza-like illness reported
by Mesa County was near 0%.
? There were no PCR-confirmed specimens tested for the period 10/2-10/8, by the state
laboratory.
