Flu, other illnesses lead to hospital diversions

"At least a couple of Louisville hospitals are diverting patients due to a rash of illness in Jefferson County.

Officials at both Baptist Hospital East in St. Matthews and Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in southern Jefferson County report that emergency departments have been on and off diversion ? when patients are directed to other facilities ? on Wednesday.
