    Irbid man dies of H1N1 flu

    "A 26-year-old Irbid man died in hospital on Saturday after contracting H1N1 (swine) flu, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.

    In a statement sent to The Jordan Times, Minister of Health Abdul Latif Wreikat said the man had been admitted to Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid three days ago, suffering from symptoms of pneumonia.

    After examining the patient, doctors there diagnosed him with H1N1 flu.

    According to Wreikat, the patient?s medical condition was critical because he also had cardiovascular disease.

    ...Last Thursday, Wreikat said 49 cases of H1N1 flu had been registered in the Kingdom since the beginning of winter...".

    Woman dies of swine flu in Jordan

    AMMAN: Jordan has announced the death of a pregnant woman after she was diagnosed with swine flu in Irbid province.

    The 40-year-old woman has died of the disease and there are no more cases in the hospital, Jordanian newspaper (Al Dostor) reported
