The Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital reported on May 4 that two of its patients, Do Thi Dinh and Tran Thi Tha, had tested positive for the A/H1N1 virus.
The two individuals were admitted to the hospital on April 26 with fevers, breathing difficulties and runny noses.
Tha, 75 years old, had been previously infected with spinal tuberculosis and was sent to the National Institute of Hygiene And Epidemiology in Hanoi.
Dinh, who is 25 years old and 20 weeks pregnant, was isolated in the hospital.
Both are now in stable condition.
