I don't think the second patient there was transferred to a hospital in Cairo -- I think she just went from the Al Fayyum Fevers hospital to a "chest hospital" also in Al Fayyum. That's how I read it anyway. Here's another machine-translation:

القاهرة- محرر مصراوي - أكدت التقارير التي ناقشتها اللجنة القومية لمكافحة أنفلونزا الطيور برئاسة أمين أباظة وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الاراضى، أن حالة الإصابة بمرض أنفلونزا الطيور سواء في الطيور أو الإنسان فى تراجع مستمر، وذلك من خلال ما أكدته البيانات من أن حالات الإصابة التي تم تسجيلها في الثلاثة شهور الأولى من هذا العام بلغت 3 حالات مقابل 15 حالة فى نفس الفترة من 2007.

CAIRO - Editor TOM - confirmed reports discussed by the National Committee for the control of avian influenza headed by Amin Abaza, and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, that the situation of bird flu disease in both birds or rights in a steady decline, through the data confirmed that the cases that have been recorded in the first three months of this year amounted to 3 cases compared with 15 cases in the same period of 2007.

وأشارت التقارير إلى أن نسبة شفاء الأطفال أقل من 10 سنوات من الإصابة بمرض أنفلونزا الطيور بلغت مائة فى المائة مقابل أن الإصابة بالمرض في الإنسان البالغ من العمر أكثر من 40 عاما تزداد شدتها ونسبة الوفاة تصل إلى مائة في المائة.

The reports pointed out that the rate of recovery of children less than 10 years of illness bird flu hit one hundred per cent against the disease in man, aged over 40 years increased severity and fatality rate of up to one hundred per cent.

وأكدت التقارير انه لم تحدث أي حالة تحور للمرض في مصر أو على مستوى العالم حتى الآن.

The reports emphasized that there had been no cases of the disease alter in Egypt or in the world so far. (Fla1 - What!?)

وأعلن الدكتور أيمن القفاص المتحدث الرسمي باسم اللجنة القومية لمكافحة أنفلونزا الطيور - في تصريحات له يوم الجمعة - أن اللجنة في حالة انعقاد دائم وسوف تستمر في الانعقاد طالما أن مرض أنفلونزا الطيور موجود..مشيرا إلى انه تم إعداد مشروع قانون لمواجهة نقل الطيور بين المحافظات ويناقش حاليا في مجلس الشورى وسيعرض على مجلس الشعب لإقراره وسيتضمن تغليظ العقوبات.

Dr. Ayman saw spokesman National Committee for the control of avian influenza - told him on Friday - that the Committee was in permanent session and will continue to meet as long as the avian influenza virus exists .. pointing out that he was preparing a bill to address the transfer of birds between provinces and discusses currently in the Shoura Council would present to the Council for approval, people will toughening penalties.

وقال الدكتور أيمن القفاص إنه منذ بداية الحملة وحتى الآن تم تحصين 53 مليون طائر والمستهدف تحصين 100 مليون طائر هذا العام...

Said Dr. Ayman saw that since the beginning of the campaign so far been vaccinated 53 million birds and the targeted 100 million birds vaccinated this year ...

موضحا أنه حدث انخفاض كبير في عدد الإصابات بالقرى حيث أنها انخفضت هذا العام إلى 57 بؤرة مقابل 568 في 2007.

He pointed out that there has been a significant decrease in the number of injuries villages where they fell this year to 57 compared to 568 in the centre of 2007.

من جانبها، صرحت الدكتورة منى محرز رئيس الإدارة المركزية للمعامل بوزارة الزراعة بأنه يتم حاليا تدريب 50 فردا من مختلف الوزارات بالإضافة إلى رؤساء أقسام الإرشاد الزراعي في الريف على كيفية التعامل مع المرض ، وبهدف إعدادهم ككوادر وقادة لتدريب الآخرين.

For its part, Dr Mona Mehrez head of the Central Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture laboratories that are currently training 50 individuals from various ministries in addition to the heads of departments in the rural agricultural extension on how to deal with the disease, the aim of preparing them Kquadr leaders to train others.

وأشارت الدكتورة منى محرز إلى أن وفدا من مجلسي الشعب والشورى سيقوم خلال الفترة القادمة بزيارة إلى معامل التحاليل ووحدات الطب البيطري بوزارة الزراعة للوقوف على نجاح العمل بها والاطمئنان على تحاليل العينات بهذه المعامل.

The Dr Mona Mehrez added that the delegation from the People's Assembly and Shura Council in the coming period will visit to factor analysis and units Agriculture Ministry's veterinary medicine to determine the success of the work and check on the laboratory analyses of samples.

The report must be outdated. Since Jan 1, 2008, there have been 4 WHO-confirmed human cases in Egypt (see Paragraph 1 which says three). There has also been one WHO-confirmed cases from Vietnam, Do Van Huong, an 11 year old boy who died on March 14, 2008. The fourth victim in Egypt this year is 8 year old Abdel Hamid al-Sayyed Yussuf who was admitted to the hospital on March 3, 2008. He apparently survived and recovered.
