بدأت الهيئة العامة للخدمات البيطرية في تطبيق برنامج جديد لتقصي النشاط عن مرض انفلونزا الطيور يسمي التقصي الوبائي بالمشاركة "PDS" والذي يعتمد علي جمع وتحليل معلومات وبائية من المربين والمؤسسات المعنية الحكومية وغير الحكومية بالقري والتي علي اساسها يقوم الاطباء البيطريون بتحديد لاماكن المشتبه في وجود اصابة لاجراء المعاينات اللازمة لرصد مرض انفلونزا الطيور.

تمكن ضباط مباحث الاسكندرية بالاشتراك مع مديرية الطب البيطرى من ضبط 41 من أصحاب المحال أثناء قيامهم ببيع طيور حية بالمخالفة لقرار وزارة الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضى رقم 187 لعام 2006 لمكافحة مرض أنفلونزا الطيور.

كان ضباط مباحث التموين بإشراف العميد أحمد صالح مدير مباحث تموين الاسكندرية قاموا بحملة على الأسواق وأصحاب محال بيع الطيور لضبط البائعين الذين يقومون ببيع الطيور حية دون التأكد من خلوها من مرض أنفلونزا الطيور حيث تم ضبط 41 محلا و412 دجاجة حية, وتم التحفظ على المضبوطات وأخطرت النيابة العامة للتحقيق.

وكان مساعد وزير الصحة المصري قد اكد السبت ان فيروس انفلونزا الطيور يبدأ فى تخفيض نشاطه مع ارتفاع درجة الحرارة فى شهور الصيف الا ان امتداد الشتاء هذا العام ساعد على استمرار الشكوى منه.

ونصح السيدات بعدم ذبح الطيور المصابة والتخلص منها فورا حيث يمكن نقل العدوى اثناء الذبح وخاصة للاطفال دون الخامسة.

قررت اللجنة العليا لمكافحة مرض أنفلونزا الطيور برئاسة الدكتور أحمد نظيف، وحضور وزراء الزراعة والصحة والبيئة والتنمية المحلية تشديد الإجراءات البيطرية لمكافحة المرض ومواصلة عمليات التحصين المجانى بالتربية الريفية، والرقابة على حركة الطيور بين مختلف المحافظات.

أعلنت وزارة الزراعة أن إجمالى عدد البؤر الإيجابية لمرض أنفلونزا الطيور خلال الفترة من ١٩ مارس ٢٠٠٩ حتى أمس الأول بلغ ٩ بؤر وجميعها فى التربية المنزلية منها ٦ بؤر موزعة بالتساوى فى محافظات الإسكندرية وكفر الشيخ والسادس من أكتوبر و٣ حالات بمحافظات الغربية والمنيا والأقصر.
