    Vineyard (Vinhedo) records the third death for suspected avian influenza A

    The Epidemiological Surveillance Department of Health confirmed the Vineyard on the morning of Friday, March 24, the third death from suspected avian influenza A in the city.

    A man of 44 years was hospitalized on 22 of the Santa Casa de Vineyard and died this morning, around 5:45 a.m., with suspected avian influenza A.

    A woman of 37 years died 23 days and a wife of 42 years on 18, the two had symptoms consistent with disease. The causes of death have not yet been confirmed.


    Another person with the disease is suspected in the Santa Casa hospital with symptoms compatible with influenza A.

    In all Vinhedo records 10 new confirmed cases of influenza.

            São Paulo confirms four more deaths caused by swine flu

                              PORTO ALEGRE - The Secretary of Health of Rio Grande do Sul confirmed five more deaths from influenza A (H1N1) - Swine flu.                               The Secretariat of Health of Rio Grande do Sul confirmed early last night, Sunday, four more deaths caused by swine flu - as is called influenza A (H1N1). With this, the number of deaths due to disease in the state rose to 16, and 38 in Brazil.

                                São Paulo - A man of 58 years who had contracted influenza A (H1N1) - Swine flu - died yesterday (26), in Mogi Guaçu (SP). In the last 16 days, he was hospitalized with pneumonia. Because of the development framework for respiratory failure on 18 he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The victim had contact with people newly arrived in Chile. This is the first confirmed case of disease in the city.

                                Man of 58 years is 17th victim of "swine flu" in Sao Paulo

                                The Secretariat of Health of Mogi Guaçu confirmed Monday that the death of a man of 58 years due to the "swine flu" (renamed from the WHO influenza A H1N1). With the new victim, the State of São Paulo counted 17 deaths. In Brazil, the total rises to 39.


                                The man of 58 years, resident of Mogi Guaçu, died here Sunday around 12h. He was hospitalized on July 16 in Santa Casa de Mogi Guaçu in connection with pneumonia, which progressed to respiratory failure.
