            Close third school in El Salvador for suspected influenza

            San Salvador, 15 Oct (Notimex) .- Salvadoran authorities confirmed today the third end of the third school in the east of the country, where dozens of students have symptoms of human influenza.

              Investigating nine possible influenza deaths in El Salvador

              San Salvador, 16 Oct (Notimex) .- The Ministry of Health of El Salvador investigating the death of nine people suspected cases of human influenza following the outbreak which originated in the eastern province of La Union, on the border with Honduras, local media reported Saturday.

              Quoting official sources, the media reported that another 10 Salvadorans were moved from the town of Lislique Hospital Santa Rosa de Lima, in the same region, in order to be selected for testing of H1N1 viruses.

              In this week have been closed at least three schools in the region Lislique, department of La Union, on suspicion that some 80 students are affected with the disease.

                  Death Toll from Swine Flu Rises to 25 in El Salvador


                  SAN SALVADOR ? Two more people have died from swine flu, raising the death toll from the AH1N1 flu virus in El Salvador to 25, health officials said.

                  A total of 803 people are infected with the flu virus in the Central American country, the Health Ministry official in charge of monitoring the disease, Julio Armero, told reporters.

                  The two most recent deaths occurred in the central province of Cuscatlan and in the eastern province of San Miguel, Armero said.
