        29 Sep 2009 (17:38:26)

In Tamaulipas is confirmed 9 deaths, 5 have died in Reynosa

        Anabel Rocha Garcia / EnL?neaDIRECTA

Reynosa, Tamaulipas. "Although the governor himself has suggested to Tamaulipas not panic against a possible outbreak of influenza, medical institutions and health centers are already preparing for what could be chaos in the winter and is, own reports of the Secretary of Health in the state warn that the flu cases could double in the entity.

Are currently registered in Tamaulipas thousand 270 cases influenza virus and has to AH1N1 since the emergence caused 9 deaths, most of these in Reynosa and south of the entity.

In Reynosa epidemiologist Gloria Leticia Doria Cobos, who is coordinating this area in the Health Jurisdiction Number 4 pointed out that currently are working in the location of probable cases. "We're working, we still probable cases, recall that the subject of influenza and we are not using the rapid tests, we're providing treatment to persons who meet the clinical criteria of the disease."

Therefore invited the people to when they have symptoms of the virus AH1N1, promptly attend to seek medical help where it will provide timely treatment to avoid complications and cut the transmission chain.

He noted that the latest report does not indicate a rebound and the disease, but said Bell can not be thrown on the fly: "Until last week we had 1 thousand 028 confirmed cases, and right now has not been updated at least 5 deaths that presented since the beginning of the epidemic as we all know and fortunately we had no deaths lately. " Said.

The epidemiologist said this is because the treatment has been more rapid, timely and recalled that if the treatment is given in the first 24 or 46 hours is more effective.

Also with the arrival of cold fronts and sudden temperature changes that this causes there are fears a new outbreak of influenza, because, as secretary of Health said in the statement, Juan Guillermo Manzur Arzola this coming winter will be doubled when Human Influenza patients even there the risk that they can reach the 10 thousand cases in the whole entity.

Finally he called the people to be alert and recalled what was stated above by the governor not to panic, saying that although there have to be aware this does not indicate that any of the deadly flu virus can be treated.

"Not all cases of influenza or acute respiratory infection are to receive treatment, not those who meet the clinical criteria and a physical examination for influenza-like illness.

By Claudia Velazquez | Date: 2009-09-30

          + Young woman dies in
          Matamoros, add
          thousand 296 cases confirmed

Influenza virus AH1N1 claimed their tenth fatality in Tamaulipas to yesterday confirmed the death of a pregnant woman in the hospital Alfredo Pumarejo Matamoros.
The chief of epidemiology in the state, Dr. Alfredo Rodr?guez Trujillo, said the patient died of pneumonic problems arising from influenza.
This case, he said, what we have stigmatized as a forensic case, since the patient came to hospital and prior to notice improvement he was discharged, although we can not confirm that his death was medical malpractice.
However, the event follows a research analyst where he determines whether or not acted negligently.
The state lab results confirmed that tests performed after the death of the woman was due to influenza AH1N1.
"Although this patient was about 38 weeks pregnant, her death was not derivdos problems of his state, but pneumonic problems caused by the virus," he said.
In Matamoros, he said, will have registered 85 cases confirmed this type of influenza, so it is necessary to continue to carry out preventive measures, as described above.
Trujillo Rodriguez, the woman said she underwent a cesarean section, her son died a few hours old, but was ruled out as carrying the virus.
The Secretariat of Health in this town and made a health circle with the families of the tenth victim, but exclude the possibility that they could be infected, because no one has symptoms.
It is noteworthy that this case was brought by relatives of the victim before the prosecutorial agency, since they show that physicians acted negligently by failing to provide good care.
Finally, the chief epidemiologist in the state, said that in Tamaulipas 1 thousand 296 cases are confirmed influenza AH1N1.
