Re: Ukraine: Ministry of health to investigate "new animal virus"

The translations are crude here, but I think they are reporting an increase in atypical pneumonia (translated as SARS above) and they do not know whether it is H1N1 or not.

Re: Ukraine: Ministry of health to investigate "new animal virus" - unfounded?

        Or maybe not...

In Kirovograd region there is no influenza

Anatoliy Gritsenko fears are unfounded, according to the Ministry of Health.
        Марина ВЕТРОВА — 11.07.2010 Marina VETROV - 11.07.2010

. Recently the head of the parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense Anatoliy Gritsenko Ukraine's Health Ministry has asked to verify the information that the alleged Archangel region Kirovograd region rife unknown virus, and perhaps even that this sensational H1N1.

Locals err on the swine flu, because the cases has marked symptoms similar to those that occur during pneumonia.

However, epidemiologists have argued that careful control of the situation in Kirovograd region and see no reason for concern. The incidence of [ARVI] in the region is within the annual norm, noted in the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Ukraine. . And about any flu speech does not go.

        - Respiratory symptoms, at this time of year, as we know, can trigger flowering plants, - notes general practitioner Tamara Polyakova. - . - It's supposedly an infectious disease may be banal allergy - pollinosis. . Moreover, in the heat people are very often victims of [ARVI]. . Because sitting in a draft in an attempt to cool down, or under the air conditioning, as well as drinking excessively chilled drinks. What ultimately lead to colds, sore throat, and even inflammation of the bronchi and lungs.

Recall also that the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe accused the WHO of health care in an unjustified declaration of a pandemic. The expert's report of PACE states: "There is ample evidence that the risk and magnitude of an influenza pandemic were significantly overestimated WHO. . As a result, European countries have spent millions of dollars to fight the epidemic, which did not exist.

Re: Ukraine: Ministry of health to investigate "new animal virus"

I believe this article, which is over 24 hours old, is the original one that the other sources were quoting. The title of this thread is apparently very misleading, as no new virus is suspected, and animals have nothing to do with this. Perhaps "new animal virus" should be replaced by "ARI in Kirovograd".
