People, you WILL lose data stored on your computer, either due to hacking or - more likely - HD failure. Back up important data OFTEN!

I do not have the nous nor the $ to even buy a computer, they're gifted ones or hire/purchased, and I'm living on disability a small stipend, so it's hard enough to buy basics these days. Sorry I don't measure up, and I did have the latest up-to-date anti-virus and firewalls running. I've been subjected to attacks again this week while trying to log on to both my FluTrackers and FaceBook accounts and to use them while logged on. The last time I lost my entire computer, experts who checked it out were also pointing to .cn and this latest attack occurred after I was calling for an end to trade with any dictatorship, and a seizure of corporations caught in bed with tyrannies. We need freedom, freedom to write, freedom of scientists and citizens of goodwill to contribute towards our common security of public health and public inquiry. Thanks to Sharon for not giving up nor giving in to bullies.

The United States' increasing reliance on the Internet makes securing our networks from online threats more crucial than ever, according to National Security Agency director and U.S. Cyber Command commander Keith Alexander.


Speaking at the Gov 2.0 Summit on Tuesday in Washington, Alexander warned against the growing threat from hackers and enemy states seeking to penetrate American networks, which are more vital to the nation's security and economy than ever before.

Our server company told me today that we experienced a denial of service (DOS) attack from the following 2 ip addresses:

98.126.129.82

61.147.120.3

According to our server company these 2 ips sent simultaneously many requests to the server which resulted in our load and memory capacity reaching the 80+ percentile range. This slowed the server to almost a stop.

We will publish the ips of hack or DOS attacks.
