    Daniel Schlienz, 42, died Tuesday at Essentia Health-St. Mary's in Duluth after showing flu-like symptoms while in jail.

    After an investigation, it was found that Schlienz did not notify staff of his symptoms until about 8 a.m. Monday. ...
    ETA:
    I moved this out of the flu section since there was an autopsy done and they probably have ruled out influenza as cause of death by now, even though there is no cause found yet.

    Family: Suspect in Cook Co. Shooting Was Denied Medicine Before Death
    He was asking for a blanket and cough medicine. The autopsy found that he had "disseminated intravascular coagulation, a complication where small blood clots can lead to organ failure."
