    Influenza indicators for E-week 52 (23 - 29 December 2012) are as follows:

    The average daily number of patients seeking treatment in the polyclinics for ARI increased from 2,346 (over 5.5 working days) in E-week 51 to 2,654 (over 4 working days) in E-week 52, and remained below the warning level.

    The proportion of patients with influenza-like illness (ILI) among the polyclinic attendances for ARI remained low at 1%.
    The overall prevalence of Influenza among ILI samples (n=179) in the community was 53.1% in the past 4 weeks. Of all the influenza virus isolates in December 2012, influenza A(H1N1)pdm09, influenza A (H3N2) and influenza B comprised 43.2%, 35.8% and 21.0% respectively (preliminary).

      The proportion of patients with influenza-like illness (ILI) among the polyclinic attendances for ARI remained low at 1%.
      The overall prevalence of Influenza among ILI samples (n=189) in the community was 50.3% in the past 4 weeks. Of all the influenza virus isolates in December 2012, influenza A (H3N2), influenza A(H1N1-2009) and influenza B comprised 36.4%, 40.2% and 23.4% respectively.
