CDC Telebriefing: Vital Signs Report Details Rising Threat from Lethal CRE Bacteria
What
CDC will host a telephone-only media availability to discuss the new Vital Signs report on a drug-resistant bacteria called carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) that is spreading in U.S. inpatient medical facilities. These bacteria cause life-threatening infections that are difficult, and in some cases, impossible to treat.
