  • Bolivia - Recorded 18 suspected cases of H1N1 flu in Cochabamba

    Cochabamba (EL DIARIO).-the owner of the Epidemiology Unit of the health (Headquarters), Arturo Qui?ones, departmental service reported yesterday that 1,500 cases of acute respiratory infections (HCAI), were recorded in the Department of Cochabamba to date as well as 18 suspected cases of H1N1 flu.

    The latest official report of the Headquarters confirmed Tuesday that in recent weeks throughout the Department of Cochabamba increased cases of flu and colds, due to the low temperatures that occur and affect the health of the population.

    'So far we have 1,500 cases of patients with respiratory infections, in recent weeks there has been an increase, that resulted from the cold that is already beginning to feel.' The most affected age group, where most cases have are children between six to 12 years,'he said.

    On the other hand, noted that there would also be 18 cases of suspected patients with the H1N1 type flu, same which are under assessment and receiving the respective treatments, as the results of the tests of laboratory.
