Chikungunya And Dengue On The Rise
Chikungunya and Dengue viral fevers are on the rise in Male? and the Atolls, the Department of Public Health (DPH) says.
The DPH reports that mosquito related fevers are increasing in 16 islands in Haa Alif, Haa Dhaal, Noon, Baa, Alif Alif, Alif Dhaal, Meem and Gaaf Alif atolls.
Measures are being taken to limit mosquito breeding, the DPH says, although during the rainy season the number of mosquitoes will rise.
