Nidom Warns About H5N1-H1N1 Association

Head of Laboratory of Influenza Airlangga University (Unair), DR Chaerul Anwar Nidom, the government and people of Indonesia for the cautious emergence of H5N1 virus combined with H1N1.
"India should (the government and the people) do not only focus on the spread of H1N1 virus are due to possible emergence of H5N1 virus coalition with the more dangerous H1N1 again," he said to reporters on the sidelines of the Symposium Pig Flu (H1N1) and Avian Flu (H5N1) , in Mataram, Saturday.
DR Nidom is one of the speakers in the symposium which was held Indonesian Doctor Association (IDI) in cooperation with NTB Askes PT (Persero) Branch Hospital Mataram and Mataram Medika Risa.
He said that, if any combination of the two dangerous viruses that it was difficult to find drugs penawarnya. Researchers at the Laboratory of Influenza Unair this combination of speed estimate influenza virus is located in the area range 1-100 times faster than the speed of transmission of H5N1 or H1N1 virus.
