Une deuxième phase de vaccinations sera déclenchée en février 2010, qui concernera notamment les personnes âgées de 2 à 20 ans (environ 12 millions d'Italiens), a-t-il indiqué.

À ce jour, l'Espagne a confirmé 1.806 cas de grippe A/H1N1 et il ya eu six morts.
Il est prévu que le nombre de cas augmente à la fin de l'été, lorsque les enfants retournent à l'école après des vacances.
Jimenez a déclaré que, pour le moment, le gouvernement n'avait pas de plans pour garder les écoles fermées à conjurer la menace. Mais il y aura de nouvelles campagnes d'information et de vigilance dans le système éducatif.
