LAS VEGAS?The Southern Nevada Health District has expanded the age group that is eligible for the nasal version of the swine flu vaccine.
The district is now including people ages 2 to 24 in priority groups for the H1N1 FluMist vaccine. The age group had been 2 to 4.
Starting Friday the health district was giving out only the FluMist vaccine because it has a low supply of the injectable form. Until the injectable version is replenished?as early as next week?and the health district can set up another clinic, FluMist is the only form available through the district.
Also eligible to get FluMist are health care workers, emergency medical workers and those who live with or care for children under 6 months old.
