Health Department Reports 2 More Wyo. Flu Deaths
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) ― The Wyoming Department of Health reports that two more Wyoming residents have died from influenza, pushing the total number of Wyoming flu deaths since May to eight.

The two latest cases were both elderly men in Laramie County who had underlying conditions that heightened their health risk.

The health department says it doesn't know whether the men had swine flu or another strain of flu. Swine flu was confirmed in four of the state's flu deaths.

State epidemiologist Dr. Tracy Murphy says growth in flu activity has slowed down in the past two weeks. But he says flu activity in Wyoming is still at a higher level than the last 10 typical winter flu seasons.

The eight reported flu deaths have included four people between the ages of 19 and 64 and four people over 65.
