Translated from ProMED French Africa. Obviously, because of Ebola surveillance, DRC has a better lab detection system than much of the rest of Africa, but as previous FT threads on H1N1 in DRC show, there were likely far more than 222 cases, and likely some deaths that were missed.

Mupipi Minister welcomed this opportunity that no deaths had been registered so far, attributing this performance to cap measures dictated by the government, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). The Minister of Health has focused its intervention on activities against fever "Ebola" has long raged in the provinces of Equateur and Bandundu. He justified the resurgence of certain epidemics once eradicated by the multifaceted crisis that hit the country and has especially undermined the health system.
