    The first contingent of 140,000 doses of the ?Novartis? vaccines are meant for the groups of risk: people with chronical diseases, mothers-to-be, children up to two years of age, staff working in healthcare and public services.
    The Health Minister Milosavljevic called on the citizens to take the advice of epidemiologists and receive the vaccine in order to protect themselves from the new flu.
    Until the end of December another contingent of 620,000 doses is to arrive.
    According to the ?Batut?, the Institute for public health, 494 cases of new flu have been confirmed until so far with 37 cases of death. Presently 612 individuals are hospitalized, 22 of them on life supporting machines.

    BELGRADE -- A total of 520 cases of swine flu have been confirmed in Serbia the Batut Institute of Public Health of Serbia said.
