    Suspected Newcastle outbreak kills 1,000 birds in northern Sask.

    A suspected outbreak of Newcastle Disease has left 1,000 birds dead northwest of Saskatoon.


    The Ministry of Environment says the outbreak in the Meadow Lake Provincial Park and Jackfish Lake areas occurred in double-crested cormorants and gulls.
