Modify entry into school schedules
HERMOSILLO, Sonora (PH)
To protect students from diseases that could cause them illness due to to low temperatures, starting tomorrow at Sonora school schedules will be modified.
The measure implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture (SEC) and the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) applies to preschool, primary and secondary.
The changes include a half hour delay the morning shift, the entry of students to campuses and the afternoon shift classes will end half an hour earlier at the regular time.
The new schedule will begin Monday and will run until February 25, 2011 and to protect students, the SEC issued recommendations to parents and teachers.
The recommendations include the use of winter clothes and flexibility with the use of school uniforms.
Another point to be considered by parents and teachers is to seek medical attention to avoid risk to be coordination with the Ministry of Health in any situation such as dengue, influenza and acute respiratory infections.

Preschool
Morning 9:00 to 12:00 hours
Afternoon 13:30 to 17:00 hours
Primary
Morning 8:00 am to 12.30 pm
Afternoon 13:30 to 18:00 hours
Secondary
Morning 7:30 to 13:30 hours
Afternoon 13:30 to 19:30 hours
