ILI: 1.6% (Individuals aged 0 to 4 years had the highest proportion of office visits related to ILI for week 17. This age group accounted for 46% of total ILI visits compared with 49% for week 16.)
During week 17, no specimens were submitted to the Illinois Department of Public Health laboratory for influenza testing.
No influenza-associated pediatric deaths were reported to IDPH during week 17.
No influenza-related ICU admissions or influenza-related ICU deaths were reported to IDPH during week 17. No outbreaks due to influenza were reported from a long-term care facility during week 17.
ILI: 1.9%, compared with 1.6% for week 17. The intensity of ILI activity in Illinois
was minimal for week 18. (Individuals aged 0 to 4 years had the highest proportion of office visits related to ILI for
week 18. This age group accounted for 43% of total ILI visits compared with 46% for week 17)
During week 18, no specimens were submitted to the Illinois Department of Public
Health laboratory for influenza testing.
