BANGALORE: Researchers from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in association with Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases (RGICD), are working towards determining the cause of the death of H1N1 patients across the state.
Speaking to Express Dr V Ravi, Professor and Head of Neurovirology, NIMHANS, said, ?We have started working on the nature of the virus, severity of type of responses by the patients.
We want to study how can the same virus affect different people in different ways.
While some of the severely affected, some are moderately affected and mostly others are mildly affected.? ?Microbiologist from Manipal Hospitals will also be roped in to conduct the study.
