More than one-third of the influenza hospitalizations this year occurred last week.
From Feb. 26 to March 3, 48 people were hospitalized because of the flu.
Since Jan. 1, 116 people have been hospitalized because of the flu, according to the state Health Department. Two people have died.
Of the hospitalizations or deaths, 32 were in Oklahoma County, 25 were in Tulsa County, and eight cases were in Cleveland County.
