The Centre for Health Protection has collaborated with the Hospital Authority and private hospitals to monitor influenza associated intensive care unit (ICU) admissions or deaths (aged 18 years or above) since Jan 13, 2012. As of May 16, there were 167 cases of influenza associated ICU admissions or deaths, in which 98 of them were fatal.
自 2012 年1月 13日起，衞生防護中心聯同醫院管理局及私家醫院監察流感相關而需入住深切治療部或死亡個案(年齡為十八歲 或以上)的統計數字。截至5月 16日，本中心目前共錄得 167宗流感相關而需入住深切治療部或死亡的個案，當中98 宗為死亡個案。

In week 19, there were no new reports of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication/death. She had developed severe pneumonia and is now in serious condition. Her nasopharyngeal aspirate specimen was tested positive for influenza A.

As of May 23, there were 194 cases of influenza associated ICU admissions or deaths, in which 114 of them were fatal.

In week 20, one case of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) resistant influenza A(H1N1)2009 virus infection involving a 3-year-old girl who had developed fever was reported. She had recovered. The virus strain detected was sensitive to zanamivir (Relenza). In the first 4 days of week 21 (May 20 to 23, 2012), there were no new reports of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) resistant influenza A(H1N1)2009 virus infection. There are totally 19 reports of resistance to Tamiflu in strains of influenza A(H1N1)2009 virus detected in Hong Kong since 2009.

From Jun 20, 2012, 12:00 noon to Jun 27, 2012, 12:00 noon, 13 cases of influenza associated ICU admissions or deaths were recorded, in which 11 of them were fatal. In addition, one previously reported case who required ICU admission passed away during this reporting period.
2012年6月20日中午12時至2012年6月27日中午12時期間共錄得13宗與流感相關而需入住深切 治療部或死亡的個案，當中11宗為死亡個案。另外，有1宗早前報告與流感相關而需入住深切治療部的個案在此 報告期間死亡。

In week 25, one case of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication involving a girl aged 2 years old who had developed severe pneumonia was reported. She is now in serious condition. Her nasopharyngeal aspirate specimen was tested positive for influenza A. In the first 4 days of week 26 (Jun24 to 27, 2012), there were no new reports of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication/death.
第25週有1宗兒童流感相關之嚴重併發症個案的報告，涉及一名曾出現嚴重肺炎的兩歲女童。她現時情況嚴重。 她的鼻咽分泌樣本對甲型流感呈陽性反應。第26週的首4天(2012年6月24至27日)沒有兒童流感相關 之嚴重併發症/死亡個案的報告。

As of Jul 4, there were 310 cases of influenza associated ICU admissions or deaths, in which 207 of them were fatal.
自 2012 年1月 13日起，衞生防護中心聯同醫院管理局及私家醫院監察流感相關而需入住深切治療部或死亡個案(年齡為十八歲 或以上)的統計數字。截至 7 月 4 日，本中心目前共錄得 310 宗流感相關而需入住深切治療部或死亡的個案，當中207 宗為死亡個案。

As of Jul 26, there were 331 cases of influenza associated ICU admissions or deaths,in which 225 of them were fatal. After reviewing the prevailing situation, the enhanced surveillance of severe seasonal influenza will end on July 26.
