NJ reports first West Nile virus death of 2012

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) ? The mosquito-borne West Nile virus, which has been more deadly than ever this year in some parts of the country, has been linked to its first death of the year in New Jersey.
Health officials announced Friday that a 77-year-old Willingboro man died in his home Sunday about two weeks after he developed fever, weakness, and respiratory illness that eventually led to his being hospitalized for a time.
