    Leptospirosis has caused 16 deaths in the Dominican

    In 2011 there were also 116 cases and two deaths during the same period, with the provinces of Santo Domingo, Santiago and La Vega and Espaillat the increased contribution.
    SANTO DOMINGO. - At least 16 people have died, and 171 suspected leptospirosis have been reported in that year, according to the epidemiological report of Public Health.

    The situation is critical in the provinces Santiago, Duarte, Barahona, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, Hermanas Mirabal and the National District.

    In 2011 there were 116 cases and two deaths during the same period, with the provinces of Santo Domingo, Santiago and La Vega and Espaillat the increased contribution.

      58 people die from leptospirosis and 47 from cholera
      The data is contained in the epidemiological bulletin


      SANTO DOMINGO. After the rainy season, increased deaths and cases of leptospirosis, cholera and dengue with 58, 47 and 28 deaths respectively.
