Deputy Director of Taiwan DOH has stated they will fine anyone who spreads false rumors that there is anyone suffering from H7N9 in Taiwan - nearly US$17,000!
Taiwan has not had any cases of human or animal infection of the new H7N9 avian flu virus, and anyone spreading rumors about the disease could be fined up to NT$500,000 (US$16,787.75), the Department of Health (DOH) said Friday.
"Taiwan is free of H7N9" Chou Jih-Haw stated at the press conference.
"The only security we have is our ability to adapt."
