Officials investigating Wellesley E. coli outbreak

Health officials are investigating an E. coli outbreak in Wellesley that has sickened at least three people with the bacterial infection that causes stomach distress.
Two of the three cases are serious, said Wellesley public health director Leonard Izzo, and at least one person has been hospitalized.

Izzo said the three people infected are adults and are not believed to be related.
?This is an active investigation and we are working closely with the state Department of Public Health on this,? he said.
