وبالرغم من قرار محافظ الجيزة الدكتور فتحي سعد بحظر بيع الطيور الحية في المحال والأسواق وقراره بتنظيم حملات لغلق المحال المخالفة لهذا الحصر الا أن التراخي في تنفيذ هذه القرارات اصبح ظاهرة عامة في أنحاء المحافظة خاصة في المناطق الشعبية والعشوائية

القاهرة : تعقد اللجنة العليا لمواجهة مرض انفلونزا الطيور في مصر اجتماعاً اليوم الثلاثاء، برئاسة الدكتور أحمد نظيف رئيس مجلس الوزراء ، وذلك لمتابعة موقف المرض في ضوء عودته وحالات إصابة في الدواجن والمزارع والتربية المنزلية وحدوث وفيات وإصابات بشرية.

وقد بلغ عدد الوفيات البشرية بمرض انفلونزا الطيور في مصر منذ ظهوره أوائل عام 2006 وحتى الآن 19 حالة خاصة مع قدوم فصل الشتاء الذي تتزايد خلاله معدلات الإصابة والوفيات بالمرض.
