Cases of seasonal flu increase in Iran - Health Ministry official

The cases of seasonal flu have increased in Iran, Iranian Health Ministry's Disease-Management Center Mohammad Mehdi Guya said, ISNA reported.
"Seasonal flu is still active, as many provinces have reported such cases," Guya said.
According to Guya, the provinces where the flu is active the most, are Tehran, Gilan, Mazandaran, Kurdistan and Ilam.
"In total, the disease among population has increased by more than 5 percent," Guya said.
On Jan. 15, Guya said that the virus has been detected in more than 300 people and six have died as a result.
Recent statistics, according to Guya, now have 9 people dead of the disease."
