Birdflucorner.wordpress.com is a weblog developed based on collaboration work between Kobe University, Japan and Institute of Tropical Disease, Airlangga University, Indonesia in bird flu research field.
This weblog provides bird flu related informations in Indonesia which derived from Indonesia cyber news, local newpapers and also international media such as ProMed and WHO website.
All of the informations here can be re-directed to the source or references for authenthification. Since some of the posts are in Indonesia language, these will be summarized in English. For any mis-interpretation or additional information, we will appreciate your posts.

Avian Influenza Laboratory of Airlangga University is one of the laboratory which concern to Avian Influenza cases in Indonesia. We have collaboration in research activities with Kobe university Japan.
This laboratory, which led by Dr Chairul Anwar Nidom, currently active in bird flu virus surveillance within all over Indonesia. In this website we try to share our activities in surveillances, researches and news about Avian Influenza cases in Indonesia directly from the place with different point of view from others news media.
This activity has been managed by researchers both in Kobe University (KU), Japan, and Institute of Tropical Disease (ITD), Airlangga University, Indonesia, under the support by the “Japan Initiative for Global Research Network on Infectious Diseases (J-GRID)” program.
Since it has established, we tried to cover the almost all H5N1 outbreak news in animals and human. We hope this simple activity played some roles for global information sharing and for controlling/preparing to this kind of worldwide infectious disease.
