H1N1 claims second Palestinian life in month
Published today (updated) 05/01/2011 13:21 NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Palestinian Minister of Health Fathi Abu Mughli confirmed the first H1N1-related death in the West Bank of the year, saying the virus, commonly known as swine flu, had made a resurgence in the region.
The official said the victim was from the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and had been diagnosed only days before her death.

In mid-December, a Jerusalem man was hospitalized with the virus and died within the week.
In Israel, reports said hospitals were swamped Wednesday morning with 14 hospitalized and in critical condition. The country has seen three deaths from the virus in the past month.
