  • 384 cases of Influenza A in Puerto Rico

    The secretary of the Department of Health,
    Lorenzo Gonz?lez Feliciano, updated today the situation of Influenza in the Island,
    in accordance with the last report prepared by the Division of Epidemiolog?a of
    agency.
    The most updated information points to that, for the week from 4 to 10 of
    in March (week 10) 384 cases of Influenza A were brought (that they include so much Influenza A H3N2 and Influenza A H1N1) and 8 cases of Influenza B, as he reported
    agency in a press release.

    The population from 0 to 14 years of age
    it keeps on being the most affected.




    For the week 10, they are had brought
    four hospitalizaciones associated with the virus of Influenza to the moment in which
    it completed the report. It is a question of two f?minas and two males. Two of
    patients are between the groups of age of 0-4 years of age, one between
    ages from 10 to 14 years of age, and other one between 15 to 19 years of age, resident
    of the regions of Bayam?n and Metro/Fajardo.

    The thickness of the cases again has registered
    in the regions of health of Bayam?n. The same one understands the municipalities of
    Barranquitas, Bayam?n, Cata?o, Comer?o, Corozal, Gilding, Naranjito, Orocovis,
    Tall Toa, Toa Baja and Vega Alta.

    Whereas the metropolitan region includes the villages of Can?vanas, Carolina,
    Guaynabo, Lo?za, I Laugh Stones, Saint John and Trujillo Alto and that of Caguas understands
    the municipalities of Good Waters, Aibonito, Caguas, Cayey, Citron, Gurabo,
    Humacao, Reeds, The Stones, Maunabo, Naguabo, the St Lawrence and Yabucoa.
